Basses do not "gently weep"... they will rattle the walls, lay the foundation, soothe the body and the mind, or bellow in fury as they strike you down with a bat'leth, but they do not "gently weep"...

Congratulatiuons on new rig. It is always exciting to get some new gear.

I have never owned any Ibanez gear myself, however, I have had many friends that has owned Ibanez gear and loved it. I have always been a Fender kind of guy myself.

Enjoy you gear samwise.

Alright SamWise!  Give thanks to the Lord!  He is good!

I owned an old GSR300 a while back and it felt nice and did everything I needed it to do.  I gave it to a small church in Butuan, Philippnes when the Lord saw fit to bless me with a really nice Aria SB-RI.  I love the Aria but there are times when I wish I had the Ibanez.  I also have an Ibanez Artcore 6-string guitar (I just bang a few chords on it) and it has a real nice feel and sound to it as well.  I did change out the original pickups for DiMarzio Vintage series which really made it sound much fuller.

Never heard of "Ashula" before .... I'll have to go check it out.

Again, give thanks, and use the blessing to give Him praise!

I like Ibanez basses...  I was probably about to get an Ibanez for my first axe when I walked into GC and saw an Epiphone Viola (Beatlebass) on sale...  so close...

Little info 1X10 combo 250 watts add a cab & it goes too 500. Ashula is a 4 string e a d g fretted with a d g fretless. 2 separate eqs vol pan bass treble controls for fretted & a small pick up for fretless with vol & active tone control. Came with case & d addario strings. My first ibanez & this bass was worth the wait.
PS sorry for triple dipping.

That bass is INCREDIBLE !

You forgot to mention it was a 4+2 fretted and fretless. I've never seen one before.

Wow ... that's something new to me too!  Probably can do some cool stuff with it.

(But I don't think I could hang ... my simple mind has enough trouble with 4 strings!)

Shocked WOW!!!....what a wild sounding bass!  I love that sound,  just wish I could make my fingers move like that.  In my hands it would sound like a pretty mediocre instrument.  You are a lucky man to have such a set up.  Congratultions!!!

Nice bass and amp. I have a bottom-dweller buddy who uses an amp like that, I think his is a 12 combo, and he loves it. The bass is certainly something of interest to me. I love playing fretless, but most of this year I have found myself playing mostly fretted basses.

Just curious if the bass and amp worked out for you?
