This week the youth band is doing all 3 services. Actually I was looking foward to attending a service without draging out my equipment and doing rehearsal. It has been months since I have had a weekend I didnt play.
God had a different plan for me this weekend.
Last night I got a call from the youth band leader and he tells me that he has just found out his bass player is in Florida.
So this week the youth band will have the added look of wisdom and experience, not to mention age and deterioration as my salt & pepper beard and balding head is added to the lineup.  Roll Eyes
So the list this week is:

Let It Rise
Forever
History Maker
Here I Am To Worship

We have communion once per month (the last Sunday). During the passing of the communion elements, we will be doing:

Still suffering from a bad case of the blendeds:
I Will Glory in My Redeemer
As Long as I Have Breath
The other songs for Sunday are #34 "Praise to the Lord," #73 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus and a hymn "I Cannot Tell" to Londonderry Air Irish Melody.

I've never even heard of the 3 hymns.

We finally get some energy next week with Come Now Almighty King.  YAY!!!!

August 3, 2008

1. Amazing Grace - My Chains Are Gone (Classic Hymn w/ chorus by Chris Tomlin & Louie Giglio)
2. Still (Ruben Morgan)
3. People Need the Lord (Greg Nelson & Phill McHugh)
4. We Remember [Communion Song] (Kirk Dearman)

The first song, "Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone" was somewhat difficult for the congregation with its 1-1/2 octave range.
