Songs that move you

Two come to mind immediately to me:

"He Is" by Mark Schultz
and the old hymn
"Holy Holy Holy (Lord God Almighty)"

Gosh ... I'm just getting chills thinking about the pipe organ in the church when I was a kid ... really emphasizes God's awesome majesty and glory!

I have responded a couple of times to this thread already but as we go through the season's of life, I find that songs that move me change.

Chris Tomlin's "How Great Is Our God" has touched me since the first time I heard it and it still does today.

MercyMe's "God With Us" makes me want to lift my arms in praise everytime I hear it.

Lincoln Brewster's "Surrender" brings tears to my wife's eyes everytime she hears it.

The latest song I would add to the list would be "I Dare To Believe" by Charlie LeBanc. I am not sure if this song would qualify or fall under the catagory of songs that touched me, however, I do love the message this song conveys.

I have a hard time keeping it together when someone sings either of those... I have never tried singing them myself... Doubt I could do it.

I have the same reaction to Thank You. I tear up every time that I hear it and really think about the lyrics. No way I could sing that one live.
