I'm curious...
We're doing Timn Hughes. Oh Happy Day on Easter Sunday for the first time - first time for this song and first time for someone playing a lead electric guitar (only used EG once prior in a service) in a service at our church.  (It'll be interesting to hear the congregations reaction.)

I know one other guy doing Oh Happy Day in his service this sunday and I'm Wondering how many others are.

Fabulous!  There was fear and trepidation from some folks on our team about doing such an up-tempo song with an electric guitar on Easter Sunday morning.  Mostly concern was for the more traditional members of our congregation.  (This concern comes up everytime we do an up-tempo song, btw.)

Praise God, it was very well received!  There was  even blue hair bobbing in some of the pews and spontaneous clapping along to the beat.

Hopefully the fear and trepidation over doing up-tempo songs will be herewith banished.

Even the choir did a gospel flavor song.  Sonrise service.  Breakfast.  Old friends came back for the morning.  Risen Lord and Savior.  It truly was a Happy Day. Smiley
