Hello, folks. I have a Peavey Millennium BXP which I've converted from right-handed standard tuning to left-handed piccolo tuning. It's currently tuned -D-A-d-f#- (open Dmaj). I've performed live with it a couple of times since I converted it in March. I used an octaver (albeit a poor one) to add low end when necessary, which makes it sound a bit like an 8-string.

I've never played it in church, and I would like to try. I was wondering if any of you have experience playing piccolo bass in church (or elsewhere), and if there are any issues that you've encountered. Since my live experience with it is limited, and its role was more of a solo instrument, I'm not really sure what it would be like in church.

Any comments, suggestions, etc. would be appreciated.
